How much notice do you need to order a cake?

Notice time varies as it’s completely dependant on how busy we are. Usually it’s advisable to give a minimum of one months notice but the further in advance you book, the more likely it is that your date will be available. 

Do you have a price list for your cakes ?

The short answer is no. Our cake prices are completely dependant on the level of design detail you would like and how many servings are needed. Of course, a small, minimalistic drip cake with some buttercream decorations would take less time and resources than a large cake with lots of fondant details or edible imagery so our prices vary. Sending some images of inspiration when requesting a quote helps us to give a quick and more accurate quote for your enquiry. Cake starting price is £85

Do you take a deposit or full payment?

We only accept full payment on orders that are under £200 unless otherwise agreed. This means we can block out your date and order what we need to make your bespoke order and turn away other customers. For orders over £200, such a wedding cake orders, we take a non refundable deposit of £100 to secure your date, with the final payment due in full no later than one month prior to the collection date.

How do I make payment?

Once all design, flavour & allergy info has been discussed and agreed, a unique payment link will be shared with you to make quick and easy payment. Please let us know at this stage if you require a receipt, we will always send confirmation we have received your payment regardless. 

Do you deliver?

Unfortunately as I am registered blind, I can’t drive and therefore do not routinely offer delivery. However, for large orders (particularly for wedding cakes) it is sometimes possible for me to arrange transportation to your venue depending on date, in which case delivery is an option with a small fee depending on location. 

Where are you located?

We are based in colchester, on the Chesterwell development around 5 minutes drive from the general hospital. For exact address, please send an enquiry over.

Do you cater for allergy sufferers?

Yes we do, however it’s advisable to take note that as we bake from our home kitchen, we can never fully guarantee that something is ‘free from’ any allergens. This will always be discussed when you make your enquiry with us and we do our best to cater for all.

How do I store my cake?

Once your order is complete a ‘cake care & transportation sheet’ will always be shared with you before you collect your cake. This will detail everything you need to know about how to store your cake and take it home safely.
